I hav reealy guud nues riet now 🙂! Th nue vurzhon of th SoundSpel dikshonaery is avaelabl and th translaetor for web paejes is up and runing. I just went to Projekt Gutenberg and got an html vurzhon of Tom Sawyer, all 345 paejes of it. I then uezd an extenshon on Chrome to translaet th entier novel bi Mark Twaen into th SoundSpel vurzhon of simplified speling. Our dikshonaery is now so larj that it incloods wurds that ar rankt at th 60,000th level in turms of wurd freeqensy. Th speling translaetor uest to maek lots of errors, but now thaer ar oenly about wun or too mienor errors per paej 😀. This meens that I can taek eny wurk of Inglish literacher that is in th publik doemaen and translaet it into SoundSpel. Yipee!!!

No uther reformd orthografy of th Inglish langgwej cums enywhaer cloess to having a dikshonaery proegram of this sort. If thaer is eny chanss that thaer wil be a significant speling reform in th next 150 yeers or so, then SoundSpel wil no dout plae an important roel in it. Curently, of corss, SoundSpel duz not hav eny leegal staetus, and thaer is no ISO standard for it, so U mae consider this a "beta" vurzhon of th dikshonaery, but at leest it can be considerd a "proof of consept".

To run th websiet translaetor U wil need to be aebl to aksess th Chrome web brouzer, whiel th text translaetor at th ALC websiet duz not reqier speshal softwaer to run. I am inclooding a link to th ALC websiet beloe, and when U get thaer go to "Tools" and U wil see th instrukshons for th 2 diferent translaeshon tools.

Th oenly problem is that this particuelar sistem oenly alows U to translaet a limited amount of text at eny wun tiem.

Th uther proegram, as I menshond abuv, is th websiet translaetor, and it wil alow U to translaet eny Inglish-langgwej websiet into SoundSpel, no mater how long it is.
